Fill process

This system works because it captures three different views with three different cameras, so it can spot any defect that may be hidden. This device takes measurements at 6 points distributed every 60º. The inspections it conducts are no cap/tilted cap, thread degree, tamper-proof ring, and the distance between the collar and the cap.

VISIOCAP has the container format assigned, as well as the parameters it must follow. Moreover, you can quickly and easily change these parameters. This is certainly an essential piece within bottling inspection systems.

Marking process

Let’s continue with another bottling inspection system, the devices in charge of the laser marking process. In addition to proper fill and capping, another key point to consider with bottling inspection systems is correct marking, which provides traceability and quality for the end product.

VERIFITEXT is an artificial vision inspector designed for inspection of 100% of production on the line, with no need for physical handling. Its operation is simple. When it reaches the inspection zone, the system takes a high-resolution photo of the marked surface. This system inspects the printing, pad printing, thermal transfer, die-cutting, and laser.

Labelling process

Within bottling inspection systems, another highly important process is in charge of labelling. This is one of the most critical points, given how fast the production line goes and how complex this task is. This is a key point regarding lack of productivity in the packaging process, as well as labelling defects. The most common flaws are missing, deformed, tilted, or retracted labels.

The system we have for this task is VISIOLABEL. This is a quality control system to inspect labels with artificial vision. The way it works is that a bottle goes through the inspection zone and the system takes two side images and another image from above, which contributes to the system’s overall precision.

The types of inspection that this bottling inspection system does are present or missing labels, upside-down labels, double labels, individual wrinkles, alignment, tilt, wear detection, label identification, and more.

Boxing process

This is another one of the processes in the bottling inspection system, the boxing process. In this phase, there is a high likelihood of defects like the presence of foreign bodies, improper encoding, unequal bottle height, or other issues.

To carry out this mission, we have the VISIOBOX system, which inspects bottle boxes. This is perfect to verify the presence/absence of containers and their lids, as well as other foreign objects. We have different models, which can carry out different inspections, such as printed logotypes and containers whose format or colour is incorrect, and more.

You can see that we have three different VISIOBOX models. These are:

  • VISIOBOX – V: this system uses an azimuthal B/W camera to inspect the box and its content with visible light. It can have additional side cameras to inspect logotypes and labels.
  • VISIOBOX – T: this system uses a TOF (Time Of Flight) camera with built-in infrared NIR lighting. This kind of sensor captures the image and makes a 3D model of the box with all the containers. This means you can check whether plastic containers are present or missing, or containers with any sort of cap. It also verifies that the container heights fall under the required range.
  • VISIOBOX – S: this system uses a scanner that projects a beam of light onto the moving box, thereby obtaining a 3D model of the set. Available in two different models, depending on the required resolution. Perfect for plastic containers or with caps on high-speed lines.

It is important for them to be in the correct position, especially when seeking proper fill for these containers.

In this regard, containers can have different shapes. These systems can adapt to different sizes, so they are in the correct position. You can orient containers at 90, 180, or 270 degrees. This is perfect for containers like bottles, jars, tins, and vials, regardless of whether they are empty or full.


On any production line, different products may come up that cannot continue in the production process for one reason or another. For this reason, rejection systems are essential in the quality control process.

These systems include blow rejection systems, which are perfect for non-fragile items. This system knocks defective products off the production line. On the other hand, for more delicate containers, we have the gentle diversion rejection system. This removes products from the production line, creating a parallel line, where the products can be inspected later to decide whether they can be remedied and put back on the production line.
